Processing your data

YL takes its responsibility seriously in handling and processing the data you have provided for yourself and your child. We have a Privacy Policy which is available upon request. We collect personal data to provide appropriate and safe activities and services, pastoral care, to monitor and assess the quality of our services, to fulfil our purposes as an organisation and to comply with the law regarding data sharing. In legal terms this is called ‘legitimate interests’. When it is required, we may also ask you for your consent to process your data. We do not share your information with others except as described in the Privacy Policy.

 

Photographs

During the Camp photographs/videos will be taken. We would like to use some of them to promote the camp. We will seek your permission to do this.  Photos may be made available after the camp through this website.

 

Safeguarding

YL takes safeguarding your children very seriously. All our leaders have an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (previously CRB) disclosure check and will have received safeguarding training before the camp starts.

 

At the end of the holiday, your child may wish to keep in touch with some of the leaders. We will provide a permission form so that you can give your permission for this to happen and so that you are aware with whom your child is maintaining contact. We do not regulate such contact after the holiday as an organisation, neither do we in any way regulate contact between campers.

All of our activities are risk assessed and where appropriate qualified coaches and/or instructors are used.

Activities

As this is a Christian holiday, there will daily activities and Christian meetings during which your child will be taught from the Bible and be encouraged to engage in discussions on Christian topics and worship/prayer times.

 

Medical and Emergency Information

Please complete the consent form fully including providing two emergency contacts. If your child has any allergies or dietary requirements, they need to be notified on the consent form. If you have a particular concern, please contact us.
